Expotel goes CarbonNeutral®

Working in partnership with market leader, The CarbonNeutral Company, Expotel has achieved the CarbonNeutral® brand mark.

The CarbonNeutral brand mark is backed by an independently managed and audited standard for carbon management which covers assessment, reduction, offsetting and communication of carbon emissions.

A full emissions assessment was conducted in order to deliver an accurate carbon footprint relating to all of Expotel’s operations which covered greenhouse gas emissions from the operational activities of Expotel over a 12 month period.

Three projects have been chosen to offset Expotel’s emissions which are: the Nairnside Wood in Inverness-shire, Myndd-Y-Garnedd in Wales and Greenland Wood in Derbyshire.

Internal measures to decrease emissions have been implemented such as recycling, the installation of energy efficient hot water heaters (instead of kettles) and lights that automatically shut off when no motion is detected.

Expotel is also offering carbon neutrality to its customers.
